Quartzite

Quartzite stabilizes positive changes by anchoring them in the fabric of your physical and subtle bodies. It helps prevent you from slipping back to your old state after you undergo any uplifting change, such as a healing therapy or spiritual experience. Quartzite also ensures that changes do not occur so rapidly that your overall balance is upset; it holds the reins and prevents changes from occurring too swiftly.

Because a human being consists of so many dimensions, Quartzite cannot anchor every change in every dimension at once. However, people's changes usually have focal points, and this is where Quartzite does its work. It focuses on the area of your life that is experiencing the most change, activity, and growth. This area is usually reflected as the most highly charged part of your aura. Quartzite throws an energetic anchor on this area. It produces a still point, in which the Quartzite essentially asks the body to stop these changes for a while, reevaluate itself, and make any necessary corrections.

Often when we place a great deal of attention on one area of our lives, we neglect other areas. Attention carries life force. Therefore, if you focus most of your attention on the area that is changing most and withdraw your attention from other areas, these other areas will suffer from a lack of life energy. Quartzite energy puts changes in the area receiving the most attention "on hold." While these changes are on hold, you can more easily turn your attention to the other, neglected areas. If these areas need to release something, they will be able to release it; if they need to relax, they will be able to relax, and so on. With these needs taken care of, when the Quartzite is removed, you will be in a better position to handle all your changes.

Because inner changes and growth are regarded as a barometer of personal progress, people often perceive change as a good thing. Yet sometimes a person may not feel completely ready for certain changes or may feel overwhelmed by change and lose perspective. When changes seem overwhelming to you, it is probably because they are happening too rapidly and your other aspects are calling for attention and nourishment.

This is when it is wise to wear Quartzite. When you wear Quartzite, the primary focus of your changes is put on hold, and your other aspects are given the chance to be nourished and provided for. This temporary hold will also give you the chance to gain some perspective and readjust your life accordingly. When you remove the Quartzite, its anchoring effect will dissipate, so that you can resume your changes at their previous rate and give them your full attention once again. Hopefully, you will be able to continue in a more balanced way.

Quartzite can also be used to anchor a specific positive change. Often, when we’ve had an uplifting experience, we want to hold on longer to its beneficial effects. Such an experience might include reading an inspiring book, receiving a healing therapy, attending an illuminating seminar, or being blessed with a spiritual experience. When you have experienced a beneficial change, a healing, or some degree of progress, Quartzite helps stabilize that progress. Wearing Quartzite for several hours after such an experience helps stabilize your uplifted state, thereby helping you to integrate it more profoundly into your being. At the same time, this stabilization helps establish a new state of balance that includes this change. Then, when you remove the Quartzite, you will be more inclined to take the next step forward than to slip back to your previous state.

Quartzite’s ability to produce a still point can be helpful for people whose minds are overactive or who are hyperactive in general. As the Quartzite stabilizes the person’s brain waves, his or her thought processes slow down. Also, people who suffer from mental illnesses caused by erratic brain-wave activity may experience some symptom relief when wearing Quartzite.

When you wear Quartzite, it encourages your physical body to slow down—not metabolically, but in its movements. The Quartzite doesn’t discourage you from moving or moving quickly. Instead it promotes efficiency in your physical movements. As you go about your activity, you may notice that your physical body is moving with more grace. Interestingly, you may not notice this effect until after you have removed the Quartzite.

Restoring a Healthier State

Quartzite is used to restore a previous, healthier state that resulted from a life-giving therapy or other positive experience. This therapy utilizes Quartzite's ability to record and store information about the person who wears it. Tension Release

Quartzite is used to relieve tension or pain in the head, neck, or shoulders or to ease insomnia or a feeling of being wired. Two spheres in a Quartzite necklace are held in the palms of the hands to induce a still point and drain the excess energy from the upper body that may be causing the discomfort. View instructions.

Time Guidelines

In general, it is best for adults to wear Quartzite for no more than two hours at a time. Never wear it constantly for more than one week at a time. If you wear it for a week, wait several weeks before considering whether you need to wear it again. When you remove the Quartzite, your attention will return to the original focus of your changes. By wearing the Quartzite for only short periods, your body will not be shocked by the effects of rapid change returning to your life.

Contraindications

Children

Because children are growing and changing much more rapidly than adults, they should wear Quartzite infrequently, no more than several times a month, and a maximum of 20 minutes a day. Children should also wear only one short Quartzite necklace that falls significantly above the stomach area.

Pregnancy

A pregnant woman should not wear Quartzite around her neck or place it on her spine. Doing so could obstruct the vortex of life force centered on the fetus. Until her child is born, a pregnant woman should use Quartzite only on her extremities—such as her knees, feet, elbows, or hands—and only for very short periods.

Amount to Wear and Necklace Length

Quartzite has profound effects when used appropriately and sparingly. No one should wear more than one Quartzite necklace at a time. For an adult, a necklace that falls just above or slightly below the heart will work best. (See guidelines for children above.) When the necklace falls directly to the heart, its effects emphasize the energies of the heart chakra. Ideally, Quartzite's energy should affect your entire being and all your aspects equally.

Wear Quartzite by Itself

Quartzite is the only gemstone offered by Gemisphere that must be worn alone. If it is used with another therapeutic gemstone necklace, the Quartzite’s effects will be canceled out. This property is unique to Quartzite.

A One-Person Gemstone

Because Quartzite stores records about the person who wears it, ideally a Quartzite necklace should become the personal tool of only one person. However, it can also serve as a wonderful tool for a physician or therapist to use on multiple patients.

Cleanse Quartzite Regularly

To maintain their effectiveness, therapeutic gemstones need regular care. As the gems help us release energetic impurities, some of these energies cling to the gems’ surface and inhibit their ability to work at their peak capacity. A simple energetic cleansing will clear these energies and restore the gems to their naturally vibrant state. You can use any of following methods to cleanse your Quartzite necklace. Plant Rejuvenation: 2 – 3 times a week, wrap the necklace around the base of a healthy houseplant or lay the necklace in its branches.

Salt Bed: 2 – 3 times a week, lay the gems in a half-inch of salt for at least an hour or overnight. Place a thin natural-fiber cloth between the salt and the gems.

Sunbath: Every 1 - 2 weeks, lay the gems in sunlight for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time.

Caution: Avoid rinsing and clay cleansing, which will dull the Quartzite’s polish.

When Your Necklace First Arrives

When you put on a new necklace or one you haven’t worn for a while, bring it into your aura with consciousness and a clear intent. We call this “practicing presence.” By opening yourself to the gems’ energies and consciously cooperating with the process of change, you can greatly enhance the gemstones’ benefits.

To be therapeutic, Quartzite must have no impurities or aberrant colors, specks, or spots. Our Quartzite is clear and pure white. Each hand-strung necklace has a consistent degree of translucency, giving it added therapeutic value.

Therapeutic Quality Quartzite

Therapeutic quality Quartzite occurs in a range of clarity, from opaque to various grades of translucency. It has a rich, pure white color. To be therapeutic, Quartzite must have no impurities or other colors, specks, or spots within it.

Quartzite that is opaque can be used to anchor purely physical changes or to help the body catch up to some of the inner changes resulting from other gemstone therapies. However, for general therapeutic use, Quartzite with some degree of translucency is preferred over opaque. The spheres within a given Quartzite necklace should have a consistent degree of translucency. Spheres that display some opalescence possess an added therapeutic value. When some people wear Quartzite, their natural body oils can make the Quartzite appear more translucent. This does not affect the Quartzite’s therapeutic effectiveness.

The energy of transparent, clear Quartzite falls outside the frequency picture of therapeutic Quartzite and is more akin to the energy of Quartz.
