Sugilite Works Differently

Sugilite works somewhat differently from other therapeutic gemstones. When you wear Sugilite, rays of its energy are constructed outward from the necklace. However, unlike other gemstones, Sugilite’s rays form only where clouds of accumulated energy are present.

Sugilite’s rays penetrate the physical body as easily as they enter the aura. As you wear Sugilite, these rays grow progressively longer, until they reach a blockage in either the aura or the body. When Sugilite’s rays meet a cloud, or blockage, the impact causes the ends of the rays to turn inward, forming a tube and creating suction. The resulting “tube rays” look like straws and act like siphons. They suck the unwanted energy out of the cloud, through the tubes, and back into the Sugilite gemstones.

Sugilite’s rays work wherever they are needed, and the areas they target can change from day to day.

Sugilite’s Tube Rays

When unwanted energy moves through the tube rays and into a Sugilite sphere, two things can happen to this energy: One, as it approaches the center of the sphere, the unwanted energy is disassembled and deposited within the Sugilite, where it can no longer affect the wearer. Two, some of the unwanted energies collide inside the sphere and are transformed into neutrally charged light. This neutral light is then cast out of the Sugilite spheres into the body and supraphysical aura.

The neutral light has an interesting therapeutic effect. As it collects in the body and aura, it imparts a sense of calm, relaxation, and peace to the wearer. It also encourages the body to open up and release unwanted energies and move toward a more centered and healthier state. If you wear Sugilite regularly, this neutral light will create an environment in your body and aura that resists the accumulation of unwanted energies.

The Unwanted Energies Absorbed by Sugilite

Many types of unwanted energies collect in the physical and subtle bodies and aura. These energy accumulations lower our vitality and make us susceptible to disease. Energies of similar frequency tend to gather into clouds, which become denser as more of them accumulate. When you wear Sugilite, its rays move through your body and aura and stop when they reach an energy cloud dense enough to transform the rays into tube rays. These tube rays then begin siphoning off the clouds and drawing the frequencies back into the spheres.

Sugilite is able to clear three main types of unwanted energies. These are the energies that Sugilite siphons, absorbs, and transforms into beneficial neutral light.

The first of these three types is biological waste energies, such as those produced by pain, allergy or hypersensitivity, and disease. Energy accumulations associated with pain press against the body; energy accumulations associated with allergy or hypersensitivity cause irritation; and energy accumulations associated with disease interfere with life energy and processes.

The second type of energy Sugilite clears is that of environmental chemicals. We take in these toxic chemicals through the air we breathe, the food we eat, the medicines we take, and the water we drink. Sugilite can clear the chemicals’ residual energies from the aura. By removing the burden of these energies, Sugilite helps relieve the pressure they place on the body and thus frees the body to find new ways to release the chemicals before they can adversely affect us.

The third type of energy cleared by Sugilite is that of discordant emotions and thoughts. When you experience stress, anxiety, or worry, your emotional and mental bodies emit negative energies into your aura. Over time, these energies can collect into clouds large enough for Sugilite to recognize and work with. Emotional trauma, grief, and overwhelming emotions, such as angry or jealous outbursts, can create substantial clouds.

Sugilite’s Storage Capacity and Safety

Although the siphoned unwanted energies accumulate in Sugilite, these deposited energies will never fill your Sugilite necklace. A vast amount of space exists within the atoms of Sugilite, and the disassembled energies are packed efficiently. Also, because the negative energies absorbed by Sugilite are disassembled, they are no longer toxic. Hence, there is no possibility that a Sugilite necklace will pass diseases or other ailments back to you or from one person to another.

Cycles of Therapy

A cycle of Sugilite therapy is completed when enough accumulated energy has been removed from your aura that you feel a wave of renewal, energy, or relief. This occurs when life energy floods into the space formerly occupied by the cloud of unwanted energy.

Depending on the amount and density of the energy being siphoned and the size of the Sugilite spheres you’re wearing, a cycle of therapy can occur within 30 minutes or take up to a week of wearing Sugilite.

Sugilite Captures Subconscious Information

Sugilite’s purple color has an affinity with the outermost layer of the aura—that is, with the higher intuitive, or subconscious, aura. When a Sugilite ray reaches this destination, it naturally turns inward and forms a tube ray. When this happens, instead of capturing unwanted energy, the tube catches information. Once captured, the information is channeled via the tube ray through the mental, causal, and emotional bodies toward the physical body.

This information does not reach the Sugilite. Instead, depending on the nature of the information, it is deposited in one of the subtle bodies. As the bodies process the information, they become aware of things that have been stored in the subconscious. This information can help you function more effectively. It can also help you understand the reason you have a particular condition, what may have caused it, what may be required to heal it, and how to find peace with it. You may not become conscious of all the information that the tube rays deposit. Some of what escapes your conscious awareness will be used to uplift the health of your physical body—for example, by enlightening your cells and organs about how to facilitate their own healing process.

Help Easing Excess Stress, Anxiety, or Worry

The unwanted energies of excess stress, anxiety, and worry can accumulate in your aura and physical fabric. When this stress becomes burdensome, you can wear Sugilite to lift the weight and clear the path for your system to regain some normalcy.

Help Relieving Chronic Pain

Sugilite is more effective for chronic than acute pain. Pain that occurs when an injury is still new may not yet have produced enough energy to create clouds of accumulation that exacerbate the pain. When wearing a Sugilite necklace for chronic pain, once a day remove it temporarily, cleanse it, and then hold it on the painful area for 20 to 30 minutes, or hold it there as you fall asleep for the night. The neutral light emanated by Sugilite may also make you feel drowsy, which can indirectly help ease pain.

Depression also emits clouds of unwanted energy. Sugilite will find these clouds and work on siphoning them. When a ray of hope shines through—that is, when the clouds of accumulation have cleared enough to allow some life energy to enter your conscious awareness—you should remove the Sugilite and replace it with a light-giving necklace, such as Quartz or Lavender.

Time Guidelines

In general, it is best to start by wearing Sugilite for an hour or two and gradually work up to wearing it several hours a day or overnight. Do not wear Sugilite day and night.

Wear Sugilite by Itself

Sugilite is best worn by itself, without any other gemstone necklaces. The work of Sugilite is unique, and the energies of other gems can interfere or conflict with it. For best effects, alternate Sugilite with a gemstone necklace such as Lavender, Quartz, a color ray gemstone, or any gemstone that helps you feel more nourished and balanced.

During Sleep

A convenient way to work with Sugilite is to bring it to bed with you at night. Hold the Sugilite over a weak, sore, or ailing area as you fall asleep. The gems will inevitably slip off the area, but as long as they remain touching your skin, they will continue to work for you wherever they land. Let your body’s wisdom guide the Sugilite’s landing place.

Wear Sugilite Touching the Skin

Your life force is the match that ignites the flow of energy through a gemstone sphere and allows the gem’s energy to interact with you and to initiate its healing effects. Once this flow is activated, it will continue whether you wear a gemstone necklace over clothing or directly on your skin. However, in general, gemstone spheres will work more strongly if you wear them against your skin. This is true of Sugilite.

Sphere Size and Necklace Length

The spheres or rondels in a Sugilite necklace must be large enough and thus have enough mass to support the tube rays’ siphoning power. The larger the gems, the more rays the Sugilite will emanate, the farther the rays can reach into the aura, and the more deeply into accumulation clouds they can project. Sugilite gems ranging in size from four to ten millimeters are therapeutically effective.

You may prefer larger spheres for treating very dense clouds of negative energy. These dense clouds tend to form when disease is localized in a specific organ or area. Smaller spheres are better for general health maintenance or when accumulation is widespread, such as with allergies.

Sugilite can be worn effectively in necklaces shorter than 25 inches. Since gold is compatible with Sugilite, short necklaces can have a gold clasp.

Sodalight and Sugilite

Sodalight is a gemstone that helps clear the aura of unwanted mental energies. When you wear Sugilite, it can take time for its tube rays to access mental clouds, because they must first clear the supraphysical, emotional, and causal auras. Therefore, if you wish to focus specifically on clearing mental accumulation, use Sodalight, which has an affinity for the mental body and the accumulations that collect there.

Cautions and Contraindications

Children

CAUTION: To prevent choking, do not allow babies or very young children to wear a gemstone necklace.

The effects of Sugilite’s tube rays are very strong. Because a child’s aura is still developing, in general, healthy children and even teenagers should not wear a Sugilite necklace. If a child has an illness that is indicated for Sugilite, use the Sugilite “Localized and Systemic Toxin Removal” therapy (see the “How to Use + Therapies” tab for instructions).

Avoiding Exposure to Sunlight

Avoid wearing Sugilite for prolonged periods under bright sunshine. The forceful nature of solar radiation clashes with Sugilite rays as they search for accumulation in the aura.

Paying Attention

When wearing Sugilite, pay attention to how you feel. Learn to recognize the effects of Sugilite’s neutral light emissions. At first, the neutral light can relax your body and allow the tube rays to reach accumulation clouds more easily. However, if you wear Sugilite too often or too long, the neutral light within you can build to the point where relaxation turns to sleepiness and, in the worst case, apathy. Wearing Sugilite too long can also initiate the release of too many toxins, which can add to the feeling of fatigue.

These feelings of tiredness can help you regulate your use of Sugilite. If Sugilite makes you feel lethargic, remove it. Try wearing it again the following day. (Also cleanse your Sugilite with a clay bath. Certain types of energies absorbed by Sugilite are more likely to produce neutral light than others, and you never know which kinds the tube rays will encounter on any given day. Therefore, it’s wise not to judge Sugilite’s effectiveness by how you feel. One day, wearing Sugilite might make you feel sleepy; the next day you may feel no difference at all; and the next day, its cleansing work may energize you by allowing abundant life energy to enter your body.

Chronic Weakness

Because clearing out unwanted energies can be tiring, Sugilite is contraindicated for someone who is chronically weak or has diminished life energy. Before introducing Sugilite, boost vitality by wearing other gemstone necklaces that are appropriate for the underlying condition.

Avoiding Placements on the Heart and Head

When using a Sugilite necklace in a placement therapy, do not place it on or near the heart or cranium.

Care and Cleansing of Sugilite

Rinsing

To cleanse Sugilite, once a day rinse it in alternating hot and cold running water for half a minute or so. Pour a few drops of mild liquid soap onto your fingers, and let the soap run down the gemstones to remove any body oils or dirt. Pat the gems dry with a soft cloth or towel, and lay the necklace flat until the thread has dried.

If you live or work in an environment with concentrated pollution, such as cigarette smoke, rinse your Sugilite twice a day every day you are wearing it.

Clay Bath and Clay Pack

Clay provides Sugilite with the deepest cleansing. However, clay can also remove some of the beneficial neutral light that tends to collect around the spheres. For this reason, cleanse Sugilite with clay less often than you do other gemstones that tolerate clay. Use a clay bath once about every two weeks of daily use. If you’re using Sugilite to treat intensely toxic areas, occasionally cleanse it with a clay pack.

If you are feeling listless or apathetic from the buildup of neutral light in your body and aura, use a clay bath to remove the neutral light from the gems (in addition to regulating your use of Sugilite). Alternatively, wipe the spheres with a soft damp cloth. Rub each sphere with the cloth between your fingers. Rinsing the cloth afterward will disperse the neutral light energy from the cloth. Earth and Plant Rejuvenation

To rejuvenate Sugilite, at least once a month you can place it outdoors in a shady spot directly on the Earth for about ten minutes. Alternately, place the Sugilite on top of the soil in a large potted plant for about an hour.

Sunlight

Do not place Sugilite in the sun for cleansing. Again, sunlight is incompatible with Sugilite. When Sugilite is exposed to the sun’s rays, it will absorb some of the solar radiation, which can inhibit Sugilite’s ability to form tube rays.

When you put on a new necklace or one you haven’t worn for a while, bring it into your aura with consciousness and a clear intent. We call this “practicing presence.” By opening yourself to the gems’ energies and consciously cooperating with the process of change, you can greatly enhance the gemstones’ benefits.

Therapeutic Quality Sugilite

Sugilite is a very rare purple earthstone. Its purple color ranges from light to dark and from true purple to magenta, with all shades and variations in between. Sugilite’s color is most accurately seen outdoors or in direct sunlight.

In the Earth, Sugilite develops in proximity to other minerals, which are then commonly found in Sugilite beads. Two of these minerals—one black and one white—are beneficial and work synergistically with the Sugilite. They give each Sugilite bead a unique appearance and pattern of color. In some cases, the black mineral deepens and darkens the purple, and the white mineral lightens the purple color to lavender. In other cases, the black and white minerals appear as distinct patches and give the bead a mottled appearance. In still other cases, the black and white minerals mix to appear gray to the naked eye.

Other colored minerals are also commonly found in Sugilite beads. These minerals appear as areas of colorless translucency or silver. The influence of the colorless translucent material is neutral; it neither supports nor inhibits Sugilite’s effects. Any patches of metallic-silver color renders the bead non-therapeutic (these metallic-looking patches appear distinctly different from the gray areas described above). Gemisphere’s Sugilite necklaces contain no metallic-silver areas.

An overall maroon-brown appearance in a Sugilite necklace is not harmful but diminishes the necklace’s therapeutic effects. These necklaces can still be therapeutic in quality but are at the lower end of the therapeutic-quality scale.

To be therapeutic, each Sugilite necklace must possess a consistent hue and pattern of coloration overall. Because of the need for consistency, plus the wide-ranging diversity of Sugilite’s appearance, creating a therapeutic necklace is challenging. For this reason, each Gemisphere Sugilite necklace is special and entirely unique.

Translucent Sugilite

An extremely rare form of Sugilite is pure purple and appears translucent when held up to a light source. It is often referred to as “gel” or “jelly” Sugilite. This type of Sugilite can draw out the greatest range of unwanted energies both in the physical and subtle bodies. At this time, necklaces made entirely of gel Sugilite are nearly impossible to obtain. However, the highest quality Gemisphere necklaces contain areas or entire beads of gel Sugilite, which appears in these necklaces either as a distinct translucency or as a crystalline sheen.

Spherical Shape

Because of the relatively soft nature of Sugilite, and the varying densities of the harder black and white minerals that may be mixed within it, gem cutters have difficulty forming Sugilite into perfect spheres. Gemisphere’s Sugilite is clearly spherical and carefully polished, but on closer inspection you may find a few beads that are not impeccably round. These slight variations in shape do not detract from their therapeutic value.

Our Sugilite Necklaces

To ensure our Sugilite’s therapeutic value, we obtain the gemstones in rough form and then have them cut to our unique specifications. Each Sugilite necklace is entirely unique, and all are individually priced.

For most gemstones, the therapeutic quality categories defined as Quality 1, 2, 3, 4,  etc., suffice to describe the quality of the gems in a particular necklace. However, for a handful of gemstones, gradients of quality exist within each therapeutic quality category. Sugilite is one of these gemstones. This means that a particular Sugilite necklace may be somewhat higher or lower in quality than the other necklaces in the same category. These variations are reflected in the price of each necklace.
