Time Guidelines

Primordial Forest can be worn continuously, but keep in mind that if you are currently engaging in behaviors that are unhealthy for you, the Chrome Diopside in the necklace is likely to make you more uncomfortable with any bad habits, any unhealthy foods or substances you are ingesting, or relationships that are not in your best interests.

It is always wise to be sensitive to your body’s responses. If you start to feel a headache or significant discomfort, take the necklace off for a while. Then allow your body time to adjust to the changes initiated by the gems by wearing them for only an hour or two a day. Gradually increase this time until you can comfortably wear the gems for as long and often as you wish.

Although you may begin to feel the energy within minutes of wearing it, its full effects will take time. Chrome Diopside’s work in Primordial Forest can be greatly enhanced with conscious meditation in nature. It takes hundreds of thousands or millions of years for a gemstone to grow in the Earth. Similarly, sometimes the therapeutic action of gemstones needs to be slow and deliberate.

Cleanse Primordial Forest Regularly

To maintain their effectiveness, therapeutic gemstones need regular care. As the gems help us release energetic impurities, some of these energies cling to the gems’ surface and inhibit their ability to work at their peak capacity. A simple energetic cleansing will clear these energies and restore the gems to their naturally vibrant state. You can use any of following methods to cleanse your Primordial Forest necklace. Plant Rejuvenation: 2 – 3 times a week, wrap the necklace around the base of a healthy houseplant or lay the necklace in its branches.

Salt Bed: 2 – 3 times a week, lay the gems in a half-inch of sea salt for at least an hour or overnight. Place a thin natural-fiber cloth between the salt and the gems.

Water Rinse: Rinse the gems in alternating warm and cool water daily for the first two weeks, and then 2 – 3 times a week. Avoid using hot or cold water. Alternatively, place Primordial Forest outdoors on the grass in rain for at least 15 minutes.

Special Notes:

Avoid cleansing Primordial Forest in sunlight for more than a few minutes, and always do so in a shady spot. Avoid clay cleansing, which can dull the polish of Primordial Forest’s gems.

To deeply rejuvenate Primordial Forest, occasionally place it outside directly on the earth for at least several hours. Cover the gems with a natural-fiber cloth to protect them from the sun.

Therapeutic Quality Primordial Forest

Primordial Forest contains therapeutic-quality Chrome Diopside, Dark Green Aventurine, and Light Green Aventurine.

Chrome Diopside

The color of therapeutic-quality Chrome Diopside is the deep, vivid green of the forest. The subtle yellow undertones of its rich green hue differentiate it from Emerald, which has sea-green to blue undertones.

Therapeutic Chrome Diopside shows a high degree of clarity and translucency; the higher the quality of the gems, the more translucent they appear. Necklaces display consistent color throughout. When larger gems are held in front of a light source, the forest-green color explodes and is bright and rich.

Because Chrome Diopside’s vivid color and clarity occur naturally, this gemstone is rarely, if ever, treated to enhance its appearance. Gemisphere’s Chrome Diopside is completely natural and free of any artificial treatments that could diminish its therapeutic effectiveness.

Dark Green Aventurine

To experience its true therapeutic effects, only certain qualities of Aventurine should be used. Therapeutic Dark Green Aventurine is composed of dark green flecks in a light green base. Its appearance varies, depending on the character of its light green base, the abundance and distribution of its dark green flecks, and the way these elements interact. The more translucent the Aventurine and the finer its color, the greater are its therapeutic effects. The overall color of the finest Dark Green Aventurine is rich forest-green.

To evaluate Aventurine for therapeutic quality, it must be examined under a microscope. This is required to determine whether the Aventurine has the proper ratio of light and dark green elements. This also ensures that the dark green flecks are not loose clouds or streaks but appear as solid, discrete, fully matured capsules suspended throughout the light green base. Any Aventurine that is muddy-looking or that displays other colors should be avoided.

Evaluating Dark Green Aventurine for therapeutic quality is so complex, that it is necessary to have viewed hundreds of specimens before one can confidently classify a sphere as therapeutic in quality.

Lower-quality Dark Green Aventurine is commonly waxed to fill in minute fractures and make the gemstones appear more translucent and higher in quality than they actually are. Waxed Aventurine cannot spark the healing changes that are initiated by naturally translucent, untreated gems. Gemisphere’s Dark Green Aventurine is completely free of wax and all other artificial treatments.

Light Green Aventurine

The parameters for therapeutic quality in Light Green Aventurine are similar in many ways to those of Dark Green Aventurine. The primary difference is that Light Green Aventurine contains many fewer dark-green flecks than Dark Green Aventurine. Indeed, a proper balance of dark-green flecks in a light green base is crucial to Light Green Aventurine’s effectiveness. If more than 25 percent of its surface displays flecks, the effects of Dark Green Aventurine will begin to dominate and therefore undermine the action of the Light Green Aventurine.

The overall color of Light Green Aventurine is pale green with a slight bluish tint. With a light source behind it, the dark green flecks become more apparent, and the gem can sometimes appear bright, crystalline, and translucent.

The vast majority of Light Green Aventurine available today has been dyed to make it resemble higher-quality Aventurine. Any dye applied to Light Green Aventurine makes it non-therapeutic.
