Just as visible light is comprised of all the colors of the rainbow, so is the life force—the force that enlivens, sustains, and nourishes everything that lives. Tanzanite embodies aspects of both the purple and blue color rays. Future Carrier of the Purple Ray

The Earth and we human beings are in the process of transitioning to a new, higher level of development and consciousness. To accomplish this transition, we and the planet must integrate a higher frequency of purple ray.

For now, the blue ray in Tanzanite will continue to foster the changes needed in our subtle and physical bodies to allow us to integrate the purity and power of a higher frequency of purple ray.

Evolving with Tanzanite

Each color ray embodies specific and different qualities of soul. The purple ray is most concerned with higher consciousness, spiritual progression, unity, the return “home,” and the connection to source, or the divine.

Some people need no help in understanding these aspects of life, while others find these concepts incomprehensible. Amethyst’s work is not particularly focused on getting everyone to understand them. One principle of energetic physiology that helps us understand Tanzanite is the way that soul manifests in an incarnated body. This manifestation is an ever-present process, in which soul radiates through a central channel out into the grand sphere of energy fields that comprise a human being. It is from this central pillar of light that soul begins the process of differentiating into the many different layers and bands that make up the individual human form.

This central channel also connects all the chakras within, above, and below the physical body. The chakras are energetic and physiologic mechanisms that move color ray energies in and out of the subtle and physical bodies. They convert the united whole, or oneness of soul, into all the different pieces and parts of us, and then reunite them again.

Wear It Around Your Neck

One of the most powerful and convenient ways to use a Tanzanite necklace is to wear it around your neck. There the gems will silently work for you as you go about your day. At night while you are sleeping, you can wear the necklace or keep it within three feet of your body to maintain your connection with the gems.

Special Therapies

In addition to wearing a Tanzanite necklace around your neck, you can use it for more focused treatments. The simplest treatment is to place it on a specific area of your body to focus its healing energies there. For example, you can curl up the necklace and place it on an ailing, injured, or painful area to accelerate the area’s recovery.

Tip: Wear Tanzanite during meditation or when practicing yoga, Tai Chi, or other meditative exercises.

Time Guidelines

A solid Tanzanite necklace is a strong therapeutic gemstone tool. Therefore, its energy may be difficult for some people to integrate easily or quickly. When first working with a solid Tanzanite necklace, we recommend wearing it for one to three hours a day. Gradually increase this time until you can comfortably wear the gems for as long and often as you wish.

It is always wise to be sensitive to your body’s responses. If you start to feel a headache or significant discomfort, take the necklace off for a while. Then allow your body time to adjust to the changes initiated by the Tanzanite by wearing it for only an hour or two a day. Gradually increase the time as described above.

Cleanse Tanzanite Regularly

To maintain their effectiveness, therapeutic gemstones need regular care. As the gems help us release energetic impurities, some of these energies cling to the gems’ surface and inhibit their ability to work at their peak capacity. A simple energetic cleansing will clear these energies and restore the gems to their naturally vibrant state. You can use any of following methods to cleanse your Tanzanite necklace. Plant Rejuvenation:  2 – 3 times a week, wrap the necklace around the base of a healthy houseplant or lay the necklace in its branches.

Salt Bed: 2 – 3 times a week, lay the gems in a half-inch of salt for at least an hour or overnight. Place a thin natural-fiber cloth between the salt and the gems.

Water Rinse: 2 – 3 times a week rinse the gems in alternating cool and warm water. Tanzanite also enjoys long, cool rinses.

Sunbath: Every 1 - 2 weeks, lay the gems in sunlight for a maximum of 10 minutes at a time.

Special Notes: While Tanzanite is a relatively hard stone, because of its crystalline structure, it shatters easily if dropped or hit. Store Tanzanite separately and handle it with extra care.

Avoid clay cleansing Tanzanite.
