Dawn Light

Dawn Light offers the therapeutic benefits of Red Spinel, though to a milder degree than a solid necklace. Dawn Light contains Red Spinel rondels and Pink Coral and Quartz spheres. When combined in this necklace, the rounded crystals of Coral and Quartz serve to support the mission of Red Spinel and facilitate its work. This carefully designed combination provides a way to experience the benefits of Red Spinel along with some additional subtle benefits.

Like a solid necklace of Red Spinel, Dawn Light supports the energies of movement, rhythm, and strength in the physical body. The body’s ability to move, open, and contract with ease and in optimal rhythms is central to many life processes. Red Spinel helps optimize these rhythms, thus benefiting the heart, lungs, muscles, circulatory vessels, digestive system, and other vital functions. The Pink Coral in Dawn Light brings a gently supportive, protective, and rejuvenating element to the Red Spinel’s strengthening action. Together, the Pink Coral and Quartz encourage the Red Spinel’s powerful effects to occur more slowly, more evenly, and with greater ease for the wearer.

One of the most powerful and convenient ways to use a Dawn Light necklace is to wear it around your neck. There the gems will silently work for you as you go about your day. Because of Red Spinel’s promotion of movement in the body, it is best to wear Dawn Light during dynamic hours of activity and not during rest or sleep. Therefore, Dawn Light should be worn only during the day and taken off at night to allow your body to return to a quiet and restful state.

Special Therapies

Dawn Light will focus its work wherever it is placed. For example, you can place it directly on a specific area—such as a joint, muscle, or organ—to focus its energy there. Leave the necklace in place for 15 to 30 minutes. As healing occurs, you can leave it in place for longer periods as your body becomes accustomed to the energy.

Time Guidelines

When first working with a Dawn Light necklace, we recommend wearing it for one to three hours a day. Gradually increase this time until you can comfortably wear the gems for as long and often as you wish during the day’s active hours and taking it off to sleep.

It is always wise to be sensitive to your body’s responses. If you start to feel a headache or significant discomfort, take the necklace off for a while. Then allow your body time to adjust to the changes initiated by Dawn Light by wearing it for only an hour or two a day. Gradually increase the time as described above.

Best Worn Alone

A Dawn Light necklace generally works best when worn alone. However, it will pair well with a Mother of Pearl necklace to combine a soothing, nurturing energy with Red Spinel’s strengthening effects.

Precautions for Wearing Dawn Light

Red Spinel’s ability to remove blockages to the color rays in the physical and supraphysical bodies will gently enhance detoxification of the tissues. It may also very slightly increase the body’s ability to absorb sunlight and other light rays. Therefore, avoid wearing Dawn Light in bright sunlight with unprotected skin for long periods.

Also, remove Dawn Light when undergoing light therapies of any kind, including infrared treatments, saunas, or other heat therapies. Although the necklace’s mild enhancement may be too gentle to notice for anyone but the very sensitive, this is a good general precaution for reducing the chance of excessive exposure to the effects of light, heat, and infrared therapies.

Dawn Light should not be worn during radiation or chemotherapy treatments.

Cleanse Dawn Light Regularly

To maintain their effectiveness, therapeutic gemstones need regular care. As the gems help us release energetic impurities, some of these energies cling to the gems’ surface and inhibit their ability to work at their peak capacity. A simple energetic cleansing will clear these energies and restore the gems to their naturally vibrant state. You can use any of the following methods to cleanse your Dawn Light necklace. Plant Rejuvenation: Every 1 – 2 days of wear, wrap the necklace around the base of a healthy houseplant or lay the necklace in its branches.

Salt Bed: Every 1 – 2 days of wear, lay the gems in a half-inch of salt for at least an hour or overnight. Place a thin natural-fiber cloth between the salt and the gems.

Water Rinse: Every 2 – 3 days of wear, give Dawn Light a quick rinse in cool running water. Avoid warm or hot water. Occasionally gently clean the gems with a mild, natural soap before rinsing.

Sunbath: Every 2 - 3 weeks of wear, lay the gems in sunlight for a maximum of 3 to 5 minutes at a time.

Special Notes: Handle Dawn Light with extra care. Store it separately to protect both the Pink Coral, which is a soft stone, and Red Spinel, which shatters easily if dropped or hit. Avoid clay cleansing.

Therapeutic Quality Dawn Light

Dawn Light necklaces contain Red Spinel, Quartz, and Pink Coral.

Red Spinel

The color of therapeutic-quality Red Spinel is a deep, bright red that is close to the red of the rainbow. The more true-red the gems are, the stronger their energetic effects will be. Spinel gems that are more distinctly pink than red are not considered therapeutic Red Spinel and have different energetic properties.

A small number of inclusions in Red Spinel do not interfere with its energetic work. The Spinel energy bypasses the other mineral.

Any kind of artificial treatments will render Red Spinel non-therapeutic. While most high-quality Spinel is untreated, some heat-treated Red Spinel has appeared on the market and should be avoided for therapeutic use. Gemisphere’s Red Spinel is completely natural and free of all treatments.

Quartz

To receive the maximum therapeutic benefits from Quartz, only optical or near-optical quality spheres should be used. Optical-quality Quartz is colorless, clear, and free from flaws to the naked eye. Such flaws include cracks and inclusions, or foreign matter. Near-optical Quartz has very slight flaws in a small portion of the sphere but is otherwise identical to optical quality. If a Quartz sphere has anything more than very slight flaws, its ability to balance your physical, emotional, and mental bodies will be significantly inhibited.

Therapeutic Quartz also has no hint of yellow, gray, brown, or smoky coloration. Color contamination and internal flaws greatly limit the spheres’ inflow and outflow of energy.

People who wear lower-quality Quartz may still feel some effects, since any gemstone will influence an individual's energetic field. However, only the highest quality Quartz necklace—one with deeply frosted, optical or near-optical quality spheres and precisely cut drill holes—will spark the true changes and transformations one seeks from this gemstone. Optical-quality Quartz is extremely rare. Yet it is well worth seeking out, since a necklace made of such Quartz radiates an incomparable energy.

Pink Coral

The Pink Coral used in Dawn Light is nearly white, with a light pink blush.

A number of treatments are commonly used to enhance Coral’s appearance, including dyeing, bleaching, and wax impregnation, all of which stifle and distort the Coral’s therapeutic energy. Gemisphere’s Pink Coral is completely natural and free of all such treatments.

Because of Coral’s profound therapeutic relationship with human beings, when Gemisphere was founded in 1988, we offered a variety of Coral necklaces. However, when we learned that many Coral species had become endangered, we decided to pull Red and Pink Coral from our offerings and put them away.* We do not plan to obtain more of these Corals until they have been restored to health in the ocean. Yet we have long felt that the gems we tucked away years ago will do much more good in your hands than they can by sitting on our shelf. In researching Red Spinel, we discovered that Pink Coral is an ideal therapeutic partner for this gem. The Pink Coral in Dawn Light comes from our 30-year-old Coral reserves.
