Magic Gift

A Magic Gift necklace promotes a feeling of wholeness and self-worth. It includes nine gemstone sequences, each containing eight Rhodochrosite crystal spheres, one Ruby, and four Biwa Pearls. Magic Gift is a special combination of the powerful emotional-healing energies provided by Ruby and Rhodochrosite and the spiritual purity reflected by Pearl.

In Magic Gift, the energies of Rhodochrosite and Ruby form a channel from your mind to your heart chakra—specifically, from the part of your mind where newly formed thoughts are sparked by your highest Self, through your inner aspects, to your heart. Encouraged by the sections of eight Rhodochrosite spheres, your thoughts and emotions flow through this channel to your physical body for expression. The Pearl helps to keep all that flows through the channel pure and reflective of Soul’s highest expressions. The Ruby opens your heart chakra and touches all your expressions with divine love.

The Rhodochrosite in Magic Gift reveals your emotional strengths and instills self-confidence. The Pearl fosters your awareness that the ultimate purpose of this necklace is to allow Soul, your highest Self, to shine through your entire being, including your physical body. This ensures that everything you do physically is an outpouring of your highest Self. When wearing Magic Gift, you will find that expressions of Soul are emphasized and magnified. One of the most powerful and convenient ways to use a Magic Gift necklace is to wear it around your neck. There the gems will silently work for you as you go about your day. At night while you are sleeping, you can wear the necklace or keep it within three feet of your body to maintain your connection with the gems.

Time Guidelines

Magic Gift can be worn continuously. However, it is always wise to be sensitive to your body’s responses. If you start to feel a headache or significant discomfort, take the necklace off for a while. Then allow your body time to adjust to the changes initiated by the gems by wearing them for only an hour or two a day. Gradually increase this time until you can comfortably wear the gems for as long and often as you wish.

Cleanse Magic Gift Regularly

To maintain their effectiveness, therapeutic gemstones need regular care. As the gems help us release energetic impurities, some of these energies cling to the gems’ surface and inhibit their ability to work at their peak capacity. A simple energetic cleansing will clear these energies and restore the gems to their naturally vibrant state. You can use any of following methods to cleanse your Magic Gift necklace. Plant Rejuvenation: 2 – 3 times a week, wrap the necklace around the base of a healthy houseplant or lay the necklace in its branches.

Salt Bed: 2 – 3 times a week, lay the gems in a half-inch of salt for at least an hour or overnight. Place a thin natural-fiber cloth between the salt and the gems.

Sunbath: Every 1 - 2 weeks, lay the gems in sunlight for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time.

Special Notes: Avoid rinsing and clay cleansing, which will dull Rhodochrosite’s polish.

Store the necklace separately to protect the Rhodochrosite, which is a particularly soft gem.

Therapeutic Quality Magic Gift

Magic Gift necklaces contain therapeutic quality Rhodochrosite, Ruby and Biwa Pearl.

Rhodochrosite

Rhodochrosite occurs in a wide range of clarity from opaque rock to opalescent gem. If you imagine this range as a vertical line, at the very top is Rhodochrosite that is so translucent that the entire sphere displays opalescence; at the bottom is Rhodochrosite that is so rock-like and dense that its vibrations cannot reach beyond the physical level. Rhodochrosite that is rock-like or that contains rock matrix or any other foreign material, such as brown or black spots or blemishes, is not therapeutic.

Although therapeutic Rhodochrosite exhibits a wide range of clarity, its color falls within a relatively narrow spectrum—from watermelon- and rose-pink on one end to orange-pink on the other. The deeper and more vibrant the color of the Rhodochrosite, the more powerful its effects will be.

When working with Rhodochrosite, high quality is essential; the higher the quality, the better the results. Indeed, the more translucent the Rhodochrosite, the faster and more powerfully it will work. 

Rhodochrosite can be divided into six grades of therapeutic quality:

Quality 1

Quality 1 Rhodochrosite displays the minimum parameters for therapeutic quality and thus will support Rhodochrosite’s therapeutic mission. It contains some white bands or spots and some mildly translucent areas. Its color is lighter than other qualities of Rhodochrosite.

Quality 2

This quality of Rhodochrosite has fewer white bands or patches than Quality 1 and displays some translucency.

Quality 3

Quality 3 Rhodochrosite has more translucency and fewer white bands or patches than Quality 2.  It can even display some opalescence.

Quality 4

This quality of Rhodochrosite is clearly translucent and somewhat opalescent, with very few white bands or patches.

Quality 5

Quality 5 Rhodochrosite displays a high degree of translucency and opalescence with minimal areas of white.

Quality 6

Quality 6 Rhodochrosite is free or nearly free of white and is in an altogether different league. It is the most translucent and opalescent. The crystalline matrix of Quality 6 Rhodochrosite is a whisper of physicality. It does not recognize the difference between the physical, emotional, and mental bodies and therefore works with each of them equally and with the knowledge that each is a part of your whole being. Other therapeutic qualities of Rhodochrosite must focus on one level at a time, whereas Quality 6 can work on all aspects at once.

Ruby

For the First Time: Extremely Rare Unheated Ruby

For over 30 years, Gemisphere has been searching the planet for completely untreated, unheated Ruby that possesses the clarity and true red color that make this gem powerfully therapeutic. Such Ruby is extremely rare. Remarkably, for the first time, we have found some—and at an affordable price. These rare, natural gems express exceptionally pure Ruby and red ray energy. It is our joy to include this Ruby in our Magic Gift and Ruby Rose necklaces.

Nearly all of the world’s available Ruby owes its color, clarity, and stability to artificial heat treatments. Yet not all heating methods are created equal. Common techniques that diffuse the Ruby with substances such as lead or beryllium render the gems nontherapeutic and energetically toxic. These treatments have no parallel in nature. Gemisphere never sells such Ruby, and never will.

For the therapeutic-quality Ruby used in our other necklace offerings, we start with high-quality gems of good color and clarity. These are then heated using a simple, old-style method and nontoxic borax (yes, the same borax you can use for cleaning your laundry!). This technique closely mimics the natural geothermal heating that takes place over eons in the Earth. It produces a stable, richly colored Ruby that can be used freely and effectively for therapeutic purposes.

Judging Ruby Quality

Ruby crystals occur naturally in different qualities of color and clarity. The purer these qualities are, the more powerful are Ruby’s effects. Judging therapeutic quality in Ruby requires exceptional care and the consideration of many factors.

Therapeutic quality Ruby is at least somewhat translucent, true red, and free of black inclusions to the naked eye. Non-Ruby inclusions can be identified under a microscope and should be avoided as much as possible, since they restrict Ruby’s effects. Their area of influence is greater than the physical space they occupy; an inclusion affects the Ruby surrounding it in a radius equal to the inclusion’s diameter.

In order for Ruby’s energy to touch and stimulate the heart, it must carry the brightness of true red. Dark, burgundy-colored Ruby has a heavy energy that cannot reach above the lower chakras; the darker the color, the heavier the energy. On the other hand, Ruby that is too light or pinkish in color is immature and lacks the strength required to be therapeutically effective.

The precision of Ruby’s shape is crucial. Because Ruby energy radiates from the bead’s outer surface, poorly shaped rondels or spheres will make Ruby’s energy flow into the aura in an inconsistent manner.

When Ruby is cut into spheres or rondels, they are covered in a red oily polish. This polish should not be rubbed off, because the oil actually helps preserve the integrity of the physical crystal, which is very brittle. Fortunately, Ruby's energetic function is unaffected by this polish.
