Wear It Around Your Neck

One of the most powerful and convenient ways to use an Apatite Vitality necklace is to wear it around your neck. There the gems will silently work for you as you go about your day. At night while you are sleeping, you can wear the necklace or keep it within three feet of your body to maintain your connection with the gems.

Because Apatite is a soft and fragile gemstone, it can fracture easily unless it is given special care. To minimize the microabrasions caused by the gems rubbing against clothing, wear a necklace containing Apatite against your skin. Handle it gently at all times, and avoid laying it on hard surfaces. Because of the softness of this special gem, over time and with wear, its surface polish will tend to dull. Although minor dulling will have minimal impact on the gems’ therapeutic value, significant dulling will dampen its therapeutic effectiveness.

Special Therapies

In addition to wearing Apatite Vitality around your neck, you can use it for more focused treatments. For a localized therapy with less effect on the brow chakra and head, curl up an Apatite Vitality necklace and place it directly over a joint, bone, or connective tissue that needs strength and healing. When applied during the acute stage of a sprain or strain, this can also help speed the healing of an injured joint or bone.

Time Guidelines

Apatite Vitality can be worn continuously. However, it is always wise to be sensitive to your body’s responses. When you wear an Apatite Vitality necklace, the energies of healing and purification most often enter through the brow chakra and move downward through the body. This effect can be very strong in some people. If you experience too much energy flow in or through your head, start out wearing the necklace for only a few minutes to an hour at a time. Gradually increase this time until you can comfortably wear the gems for as long and often as you wish.

Cleanse Apatite Vitality Regularly

To maintain their effectiveness, therapeutic gemstones need regular care. As the gems help us release energetic impurities, some of these energies cling to the gems’ surface and inhibit their ability to work at their peak capacity. A simple energetic cleansing will clear these energies and restore the gems to their naturally vibrant state. You can use any of the following methods to cleanse your Apatite Vitality necklace. Plant Rejuvenation: 2 – 3 times a week, wrap the necklace around the base of a healthy houseplant or lay the necklace in its branches.

Salt Bed: 2 – 3 times a week, lay the gems in a half-inch of salt for at least an hour or overnight. Place a thin natural-fiber cloth between the salt and the gems.

Sunbath: Every 1 - 2 weeks, lay the gems in sunlight for a maximum of 5 minutes at a time.

Caution: Avoid rinsing, which will dull Indigo’s polish, and avoid clay cleansing, which will dull both Apatite and Indigo’s polish.

Therapeutic Quality Apatite Vitality

Apatite Vitality contains Apatite, Quartz, and Indigo.

Apatite

To be therapeutic, Apatite should demonstrate brightness, good clarity, a sense of lightness, and a strong magnetic feel. Exceptionally high quality Apatite also displays gem candescence, an optical quality that makes the gems appear like liquid drops of blue-green light. All other factors being equal, gem-candescent Apatite is more effective in the subtle bodies than Apatite without gem candescence.

Because Apatite is such a soft mineral, small cracks and inclusions can cause the beads to break much more easily than most gemstones. The fewer the inclusions in Apatite, the more effective its work will be, and the less prone the gems will be to breakage.

Because of Apatite’s softness, nearly all the Apatite available on the market today has been treated with an epoxy resin to “stabilize,” or harden, it. This treatment either inhibits the Apatite’s therapeutic effects or renders the Apatite entirely non-therapeutic. Gemisphere uses only untreated Apatite with no epoxy resin treatment.

Our Apatite rondels are cut from high quality crystals usually reserved for making faceted gems. To ensure our Apatite’s superior therapeutic value, we obtain the gemstones in rough form and then have the rondels cut to our unique specifications. Quartz

To receive the maximum therapeutic benefits from Quartz, only optical or near-optical quality spheres should be used. Optical-quality Quartz is colorless, clear, and free from flaws to the naked eye. Such flaws include cracks and inclusions, or foreign matter. Near-optical Quartz has very slight flaws in a small portion of the sphere but is otherwise identical to optical quality. If a Quartz sphere has anything more than very slight flaws, its ability to balance your physical, emotional, and mental bodies will be significantly inhibited.

Gemisphere strongly recommends that only “frosted” Quartz spheres be worn in necklaces. When therapeutic quality Quartz is first fashioned into spheres, it is transparent. To prepare Quartz for use in a therapeutic necklace, the surface of the spheres must be roughened through a polishing process that makes the spheres appear white, or frosted. Only Quartz spheres with this frosted finish should be worn in necklaces. When unfrosted Quartz spheres are drilled for stringing, the drill holes disrupt the energies at both ends of the spectrum of Quartz emanations, making such spheres disharmonious to the wearer. Frosting the spheres re-establishes and maintains a pure, balanced flow of their energies. This property is unique to colorless Quartz.

Therapeutic Quartz also has no hint of yellow, gray, brown, or smoky coloration. Color contamination and internal flaws greatly limit the spheres’ inflow and outflow of energy.

People who wear lower-quality Quartz may still feel some effects, since any gemstone will influence an individual's energetic field. However, only the highest quality Quartz necklace—one with deeply frosted, optical or near-optical quality spheres and precisely cut drill holes—will spark the true changes and transformations one seeks from this gemstone. Optical-quality Quartz is extremely rare. Yet it is well worth seeking out, since a necklace made of such Quartz radiates an incomparable energy.

Indigo

To accurately determine its quality, Indigo must be observed with a light source behind it. A light source reveals therapeutic Indigo’s true indigo-blue color and translucency. Without it, the Indigo’s color appears much darker, and its translucency disappears.

As the crystalline form of Sodalight, Indigo shares Sodalight’s tendency to contain white streaks or clouds. The finest quality Indigo is neon-like cobalt blue, translucent, and free from white clouds. As spheres move away from this finest quality, they contain more white and are less translucent. Spheres that are nearly opaque are of low therapeutic value. Spheres in which the white overtakes the indigo hue are non-therapeutic.

Like Sodalight, Indigo can become whiter as it absorbs negative energies from the environment and from your aura. This cloudiness may take as long as years or as little as weeks to develop. The Indigo remains effective, however, until the cloudiness overwhelms the indigo color of the spheres.
