Salt Bed: Lay in a half-inch of sea salt overnight. Place a thin natural-fiber cloth between the salt and the gems.

Salt Bath: Soak in a solution of two teaspoons sea salt for every half-cup of cool water. First lay the necklace flat in a bowl. Add water and then sprinkle the salt into it. Soak for 15 to 30 minutes. Then briefly rinse the gems with clear water before patting them dry.

Plant Rejuvenation: 2 – 3 times a week, wrap the necklace around the base of a healthy houseplant.

Sunbath: Every 1 - 2 weeks, lay the gems in sunlight for a maximum of 15 minutes at a time.

Special Notes: Avoid clay cleansing or rinsing with plain water, which will dull Mother of Pearl’s polish.

Store the necklace separately to protect Mother of Pearl, which is a particularly soft and fragile gem.
