Golden Sun offers the therapeutic benefits of Sunstone, though to a lesser degree than a solid Sunstone necklace. Special Therapies

A Golden Sun necklace can be placed on any of the chakras for 10 to 30 minutes to bring more light, warmth, energy, and circulation to the area. Placements on the sacral chakra and solar plexus are particularly good choices to bring increased circulation and warmth to both the pelvic and abdominal areas, especially if you are suffering from coldness or sluggishness. 

You can place Golden Sun on your legs and the tops of your feet for 10 to 45 minutes if you have poor circulation in these areas.

If your hands suffer from coldness or poor circulation, holding the necklace in your hands under warm running water can increase circulation there. Perform this treatment for 3 to 5 minutes, 3 to 5 times per week.

To uplift your mood and bring clarity and energy to your brain, you can place a Golden Sun necklace on the crown of your head for 10 to 20 minutes.

Time Guidelines

Golden Sun can be used first thing in the morning to fully awaken the body, and it can be worn for hours at a time. It is generally best not to wear it to bed or late in the evening if you have difficulty sleeping.

As always, it is wise to be sensitive to your body’s responses. If you start to feel a headache or significant discomfort, take the necklace off for a while. Then allow your body time to adjust to the changes initiated by the gems by wearing them for only an hour or two a day. Gradually increase this time until you can comfortably wear the gems for as long and often as you wish.

Cleanse Golden Sun Regularly

To maintain their effectiveness, therapeutic gemstones need regular care. As the gems help us release energetic impurities, some of these energies cling to the gems’ surface and inhibit their ability to work at their peak capacity. A simple energetic cleansing will clear these energies and restore the gems to their naturally vibrant state. You can use any of following methods to cleanse your Golden Sun necklace. Learn more about these methods.

Plant Rejuvenation: 2 – 3 times a week during use, wrap the necklace around the base of a healthy houseplant or lay the necklace in its branches. 

Salt Bed: 2 – 3 times a week during use, lay the gems in a half-inch of salt for at least an hour or overnight. Place a thin natural-fiber cloth between the salt and the gems.

Water Rinse: 2 – 3 times a week during use, rinse the gems in alternating cool and warm water. Avoid using hot or cold water. 

Special Note: Avoid clay cleansing, which may dull the Golden Beryl’s polish.

Therapeutic Quality Golden Sun

Golden Sun necklaces contain Sunstone, Quartz, and Golden Beryl.

Sunstone

Sunstone is a plagioclase feldspar, which is characterized by a spangled, sparkly appearance. High-quality, therapeutic Sunstone possesses abundant liquid translucency and crystalline clarity in bright tones of red, orange, and gold. This special Sunstone is currently very rare. Dense, milky-white Sunstone is nontherapeutic.

Quartz

To receive the maximum therapeutic benefits from Quartz, only optical or near-optical quality spheres should be used. Optical-quality Quartz is colorless, clear, and free from flaws to the naked eye. Such flaws include cracks and inclusions, or foreign matter. Near-optical Quartz has very slight flaws in a small portion of the sphere but is otherwise identical to optical quality. If a Quartz sphere has anything more than very slight flaws, its ability to balance your physical, emotional, and mental bodies will be significantly inhibited.

Therapeutic Quartz also has no hint of yellow, gray, brown, or smoky coloration. Color contamination and internal flaws greatly limit the spheres’ inflow and outflow of energy.

People who wear lower-quality Quartz may still feel some effects, since any gemstone will influence an individual's energetic field. However, only the highest quality Quartz necklace—one with deeply frosted, optical or near-optical quality spheres and precisely cut drill holes—will spark the true changes and transformations one seeks from this gemstone. Optical-quality Quartz is extremely rare. Yet it is well worth seeking out, since a necklace made of such Quartz radiates an incomparable energy.

Golden Beryl

The color of therapeutic-quality Golden Beryl ranges from golden-yellow to a rich golden hue, with no tint of amber or brown. The deeper the color, the stronger are the gems’ energy and therapeutic effects.

Because Golden Beryl does not directly affect the physical or emotional bodies, its therapeutic-quality requirements are somewhat different from many other gemstones. The color and clarity should allow the gems’ energies to reach the causal body as quickly and easily as possible. Golden Beryl with a rich golden color can support minor inclusions, or flaws, because they tend not to hinder the gems’ ability to radiate into the causal body. Because lighter-colored Golden Beryl isn’t as strong, it must be freer from inclusions.

Very tiny cracks are acceptable in Golden Beryl, as long as the color is good; they will simply deflect the gem’s light in a slightly different direction. However, therapeutic Golden Beryl contains no black spots, which act as voids and cancel out the gem’s energy wherever they are present.

Gemisphere’s Golden Beryl meets or exceeds all therapeutic-quality requirements. It is completely natural and entirely free of any treatments that would artificially enhance its color or clarity and thus render the gems nontherapeutic.
